Another watch created by Hodinkee together with the Swiss manufacturer is the classic Hublot replica watches in a slightly funny version and a narrow limited edition of 100 pieces.

In 2012, Hublot introduced a very interesting option for its customers, apparently inspired by the automotive market. Anyone who returned their Hublot from the official service center could receive a replacement watch in return. However, it was not any model from the collection, but a special, plastic, quartz version of Classic Fussion, with a black dial and the inscription “NOT FOR SALE” at the bottom. The watch could not be bought, but it still appeared periodically in photos, as a curiosity and an original way to make servicing more enjoyable. Why am I mentioning this? Because it was this plastic watch that inspired Hublot and Hodinkee to create a joint, limited edition.

Classic Fusion Titanium Limited Edition for Hodinkee

The Hublot and Hodinkee design uses a classic, small (although 38 mm in size it can be said to be a perfect unisex) variant of the Classic Fussion model. The casing is made of titanium and fully sandblasted, resulting in a matte gray, technical look. Additionally, there is a gray dial without indexes, equipped only with the brand logo, three hands and a date display at 10 o’clock. 3. At the bottom there is a reference to the above-mentioned service Hublot, although here it reads “NOT FOR (RE)SALE”.

The set with a titanium case is complemented by a gray rubber strap, typical of Hublot, fastened with a titanium butterfly. No one needs to be reminded that the Nyon-based manufacturer made rubber straps their trademark, pairing them with precious gold cases.

The Hublot Classic Fusion Titanium Limited Edition for Hodinkee is powered by the automatic caliber HUB 1110 (based on the Sellita SW300-1 movement) with a 42-hour power reserve. Werk works behind the sapphire window of the case back.

Availability and price

Each of the 100 Hublot Classic Fusion Titanium Limited Edition for Hodinkee (individually numbered on the back) was valued at USD 7,900 (~PLN 31,900) plus taxes. The watches are only available in the official Hodinkee online store.
